Price, schedule and scope.
How much does a typical job cost?
Most repairs start around $200. Bigger lists cost more, and you'll always see a written price with every item listed before any work starts.
Will the price change once you start?
Not on its own. The price we agree on is the price you pay. If you add something, or something hidden turns up, you get a new written price to approve before anything changes.
When do you work?
Project work is scheduled in the afternoons, early evenings and on weekends. You’ll know your dates before the job starts.
Who actually shows up?
Jimmy. Shorewise is his business, and he does the work himself.
What areas do you serve?
All of Lee County, from Cape Coral and Fort Myers to Lehigh Acres, Estero, Bonita Springs, Pine Island, Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach.
I’m only here for the season. Can you help while I’m away?
Yes. Home watch covers two visits a month with a photo report after each one, for a small monthly fee. Jimmy can also work on your list while you’re gone. Access and updates are agreed in writing before you leave.
What kind of work don’t you do?
Shorewise does home repair and finish work: painting, drywall, doors and trim, cabinets, carpentry, tile and caulking. If your job needs a permit or a specialist trade, Jimmy will tell you straight away and point you in the right direction.
How fast will I hear back?
Jimmy returns calls and requests himself, quickly, even on busy days.
About the work
By service.
Do I need to move the furniture?
No. Jimmy moves what can be moved, covers what can’t, and puts everything back.
Will I be able to see the patch?
The goal is that you can’t. Texture is matched and the wall is primed and painted so the repair blends in.
Can you replace just one door?
Yes. One door or every door in the house.
Should I paint or replace my cabinets?
If the boxes are solid, painting and new hardware usually gets you most of the way for far less. Jimmy will say so if they aren’t.
Can you build something custom?
Yes, within finish carpentry: shelves, built-ins and seats. You’ll agree the design and price before work starts.
Can you replace one cracked tile?
Usually, yes. Matching older tile can be tricky, so Jimmy will check what’s available before you commit.
Can you work from my agent’s list?
Yes. Send the list or the report and he’ll price every line item he can do.
Where do I start?
Tell him the room and what bothers you about it. He’ll suggest what makes the biggest difference for the money.
How much does home watch cost?
A small, flat monthly fee for two visits a month, agreed in writing before you leave. Ask Jimmy for the current rate.
